Leroy Mitchell is the founder of Mitchell Law, PLLC and a seasoned Houston litigator with over 15 years of legal experience. Leroy has focused exclusively on civil cases, predominantly family law, personal injury, and business litigation.
Leroy has guided clients to large recoveries in complex cases involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, deceptive trade practices, and real estate litigation against governmental entities and large corporations through settlement and, when necessary, trial and appeal. He has helped clients navigate the often tumultuous and emotionally challenging process of divorce, child custody disputes, child support, paternity issues, modifications, and other family law matters. And has secured substantial compensation for victims of car and truck accidents injured by the negligent actions of others.
Leroy’s compassionate approach, combined with his aggressive advocacy in the courtroom, ensures his clients are supported every step of the way. His dedication to achieving the best possible outcomes, even in the most difficult and high-stakes cases, has earned him a reputation for reliability, competence, and trustworthiness among his clients.
Leroy graduated from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX with a BA in Criminal Justice and minor in Accounting. He continued his educational pursuits at Sam Houston obtaining a MA in Political Science and was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society. He later earned his JD from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where he graduated with honors. During law school, Leroy was a member of the Mock Trial Team, and won 1st place in Henry Doyle Moot Court Competition. He also interned with the 1st Court of Appeals in Houston, TX for the Honorable Timothy Taft.
